M. Designs Architects is an award-winning architecture, planning, and interior design firm based in Mountain View, California, specializing in sustainable residential design and small to medium commercial projects. Our work includes home and office remodels, new homes, townhouses, villas, estates, and various commercial spaces.

We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer who will represent the firm professionally while supporting the Principal, Senior Designers, and Interior Design Leads. This role involves participating in the design process, assisting with interior detailing, helping manage material selections and documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in creating interior design concepts, drawings, and presentations.
• Assist in producing architectural and interior details.
• Participate in material and finish specification processes.
• Help prepare interior design construction documents and working drawings under supervision.
• Coordinate with consultants and team members as needed.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules, documentation, and follow-through.
• Contribute to maintaining design quality and consistency across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the design process, interior or architectural detailing (adapted from original 4-year requirement).
• Effective time management and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking and basic problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Revit and ability to assist in producing working drawings.
• Experience or familiarity with material/finish specification.
• Experience with or exposure to 3D rendering tools, such as Lumion, 3DS Max or Enscape.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop and other adobe software.
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization.

Pay: $57,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
